Gabe’s Bio’s
Gabriel Lopez is a Chicago-based author, songwriter, music producer, children’s creator, and co-founder of Little Parade, which he leads alongside his wife, Karla. For more than a decade, the two have created music and experiences for children and families, building a body of work rooted in imagination, thoughtful storytelling, and respect for young audiences.
Gabriel also serves as a Next Gen Worship Arts Director and creative leader, giving him years of firsthand experience working with kids and families and shaping much of the heart behind his creative work. He is the author of Sammy Sixpack, the debut picture book from Little Parade Publishing—a story about talent, humility, teamwork, and discovering that real strength doesn’t mean doing everything alone.
Through music, books, and live experiences, Gabriel’s work is guided by a simple goal: to create meaningful art that children can enjoy now and carry with them as they grow.
Nathalia’s Bio
Nathalia Roca is a Venezuelan artist based in Chicago, creating under the name Natrix Arts. Her work blends surrealism, classical influences, and contemporary techniques to explore imagination, symbolism, identity, and the unseen. Working across both traditional and digital media, she uses expressive line, portraiture, light, color, and richly imagined environments to create visual narratives that feel both grounded and otherworldly.
Her Christian faith remains an important influence on her creative perspective, often informing the themes and questions beneath her work without limiting its visual language.
Nathalia’s storytelling also extends into children’s literature, where she embraces curiosity, wonder, and the impossible “what ifs” with a more playful and whimsical approach. Across her practice, she is drawn to creating images that invite viewers to look beyond the obvious and discover meaning through story, atmosphere, and imagination.

Sammy Sixpack stems from a lot of Gabe’s life experience: being multi-talented is nice, but most things are better made together. Gabe can speak about releasing control, learning to collaborate, and why teamwork—not individual achievement—is the ultimate goal.

Gabriel has spent much of his life navigating leadership, creativity, and public communication with a stutter. From singing in bands as a teenager, to leading teams and serving in ministry, to building Little Parade with his wife he has learned how to navigate the emotional rollercoaster that is stuttering.

Pastoring children today means leading through a world of constant noise, shortened attention spans, and pressures that look very different than they did even a decade ago. Gabriel can speak about how children’s ministry must continue to evolve without losing its spiritual center and his experience learning how to build teams that communicate clearly, build trust, and help children recognize God’s voice above everything.

As both a father of three (two humans and a dog), and a longtime children’s creator, Gabe takes pride in fostering a creative atmosphere in the household. Topics can include creativity at home, raising confident creative kids, and making room for boredom.
